Good uses: ask what a job is like, what skills it needs, how people prepare for it, and how careers help communities.

Do not use Career Chats to

• share personal, confidential, financial, health, account, or identifying information;
• create or request sexual content, exploitation, harassment, hate, graphic violence, or bullying;
• seek instructions for self-harm, dangerous challenges, weapons, drugs, crime, hacking, surveillance, evading safeguards, or harming people, animals, property, or systems;
• impersonate someone, deceive others, cheat on schoolwork, or present AI output as verified human expertise;
• infringe copyright, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
• probe for hidden instructions, API keys, server details, or private data;
• automate large numbers of requests, disrupt the site, bypass rate limits, or attempt unauthorized access;
• use output for high-impact decisions about education, employment, credit, housing, insurance, medical care, legal matters, or another person’s rights.

What may happen

Questions or answers may be blocked by automated safety checks. We may limit or suspend access that creates risk, violates these rules, or threatens the service. We may preserve and disclose limited information when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect safety, or comply with law.

Stop the conversation, do not repeat or share harmful content, and tell a trusted grown-up. Use the report link so we can investigate.
